AIMS | Protocol

Commitment from Government

Firstly, the Protocol seeks to secure a commitment by the government to create or amend legislation that restores the citizenship of the Windrush Generation and their descendants, and repairs the damage done to community cohesion by racially disproportionate immigration law enforcement.

Policy Design

Secondly, the Protocol seeks to develop policies with government and local councils that explain and reduce racially disproportionate numbers of African Caribbean people entering the Criminal Justice System with implications for improving education, health, work and community cohesion.

Structure

Thirdly, the Protocol seeks to enable a sustainable structure centered around the inclusion of African Caribbean communities in policy making through research, consultation and archiving testimonies to combat and eradicate the institutional racism and the reproduction of serious harm as reported in Wendy Williams Lessons Learned Review.
